I hate getting stuck on Candy Crush Saga levels like these, and level 140 is one that really stumped me for a while. Luckily, I’ve come up with some great tips that will keep you from pulling your hair out while trying to make it past this one.
I should warn you, level 140 is is probably the most difficult board I think I have ever played up to this point in the game. If you’re not ready for a challenge, I’d advise you put your Candy Crushing ways aside for a little while and come back later with your game face on.
With that said, if you’re ready to tackle this level head on, I’ve provided the tips I used to beat the level below. Use the quick guide below to jump back and forth between tips.

- Objective: Crush 99 Red candies, 99 Orange candies, and 99 Yellow candies.
- Moves: 45
- Stars: 1 Star = 30,000 points, 2 Stars = 80,000 points, 3 Stars = 100,000 points.
Hint #1
Basically this level requires combos. If you aren’t able to get them, you won’t beat it. You need to employ the domino effect where your match creates a chain reaction (read: a cascade), which leads to candy crushing happiness, and so on. One way to do this, of course, is by matching four or five candies in a row so that you can use the special candies to do your bidding.
Try especially to get the sprinkle candies and they will really help in this level. One of the best ways I’ve found to beat this level is by maneuvering sprinkle candies to match up with a striped candy.

Hint #2
You really can’t afford to waste moves on this level without watching what is going on around the rest of the board. Okay, one wrong move won’t kill you, but the level makers were stingy with the moves available to you in this one (only 45 moves to collect 99 Reds, Oranges, and Yellows? Really?).
However, if you’re paralyzed by the fear of wasting moves, fear not! As long as you’re focusing on clearing the lower portion of the board while looking to create special candy combos, you’re on the right track.

Hint #3
Another great tip is to try clearing out all of the colors that you don’t need first. Once you get those cleared out it will make it where all that is left is the Reds, Oranges, and Yellows that you need to get. Ideally, they will fall into each other with a lovely cascade when you take others out. Yeah, this might sound counter-intuitive to Hint #2, but trust me – give it a shot.
If you’re still stumped after utilizing these tips, try jumping on your computer or your phone, whichever one you play the least on and hope that you have some extra bonuses to get you past this level and on to Candy Crush level 141.
Watch the video to your right of an expert player completing Level 140 without any boosters. Once you’ve swiped your way to victory on this level, you’ll go on to dominate the next few easy levels, then likely run into a wall with level 144’s trapped time bombs. It’s not very fun, but you can get through it!
