In level 221 of Candy Crush Saga, you need to bring down two acorns and one cherry in order to win the game. It sounds easy enough to you and I at first, but the tricky part lies in the fact that the ingredients will come down from the single isolated column on the left side of the board.
Because of the board’s layout, much of your moves should concentrate on making special candies and combos. Otherwise, you won’t be able to affect any of the candies on the leftmost column. Here are some more of my favorite Candy Crush Saga hints to help you win this level.
Quick Guide
Tip #1 – Make as many combos as you can.
Tip #2 – Find matches on the leftmost column.
Tip #3 – Conserve special candies for other ingredients.

- Objectives: Bring down the ingredients and score at least 20,000 points.
- Moves: 40
- Stars: 1 star = 20,000 points; 2 stars = 100,000 points; 3 stars = 220,000 points
Tip #1:
As previously mentioned, the best way to make the ingredients go down is to make special candies and combos on the wider board. Several horizontal striped candies can help bring down the ingredients one block at a time.
However, if you want a more extensive effect, you can combine a striped candy and wrapped candy, as well as a color bomb and a striped candy. If there’s only one candy left below the ingredient, target that bottom row with a horizontal striped candy.

Tip #2:
From time to time, you will notice that there are three-candy matches on the leftmost column. Keep your eyes glued for these, as they can help you a lot in reaching your level objective. Sometimes, you don’t need to bother making another horizontal striped candy when you can already match three candies standing in between the ingredient and the bottom of the board.

Tip #3:
Remember that you need to bring down three ingredients in the level, and that only one ingredient appears at a time. Try to save up some of your combos so that you can take advantage of them at the right time. For instance, don’t put two wrapped candies side by side, and then combine one of them with a striped candy.
Your other wrapped candy could have been paired with another striped candy, but you wasted that opportunity because you placed it too close to other special candies.
Strangely, I’ve found most ReadyGamers don’t have any trouble with the next twenty levels or so. This appears to be a “fun stretch” the game makers threw in. The next true challenge I found is Candy Crush level 245, where the candy matches you need to make are pretty difficult to combine.
