Here we are at level 31, and you must be having trouble clearing the jelly squares from the top of the screen. I know I did at first. Well, not to worry, it won’t be long before you are moving on to the next Candy Crush level in no time at all.
For this level, you need to clear 14 jellies in only 15 moves. Don’t let the board layout intimidate you; it’s not nearly as bad as it seems. I was able to beat it in only a couple tries with the strategy I’ve outlined here. To get the best of this level, you need to focus on making special candy combinations.

- Objective: Clear all the jelly and score at least 20,000 points.
- Moves: 15
- Stars: 1 star = 20,000 points, 2 stars = 60,000 points, 3 stars = 100,000 points.
Hint #1
To take out those jellies at the top, use color bombs or combinations of striped candies. Vertical-striped candies can reach those top jellies and make them disappear. In addition, if you use the bottom pieces to create special candies such as striped, bombs or wrapped, you will have the level knocked out in no time at all.

For those playing a mobile version of Candy Crush, try doing a reset. Before you make any moves, look at the board and see if there are any good combinations or special candies at the bottom of the board. If not, back out to the menu screen and then go back in. This is actually a universally great Candy Crush tip for all non-timed levels. As long as you have made no moves, you won’t lose any lives.

Hint #3
You will notice on this level that there are only three colors of candy: blue, green and orange. If you study the board before making moves, it is easy to build candy bombs. Look around the candy bomb to see what colors are next to it. Choose the one with the most candies of that color in the top area. The more in that area, the more jelly squares you will clear with one bomb.
It took me a few tries to figure out how each column on the bottom aligns with the separated sections of candy on top. Once you get a hang of that, level 31 gets a little easier.
