Although Candy Crush level 78 operates on the very simple premise of bringing down the ingredients, the board makes it pretty difficult to do just that. The board is shaped in such a way that you might get stuck on the corners if you are not careful. Trust me, I’ve been there and done that too many times.
Also, there are only three columns that will allow you to drop the ingredients to effectively win the game. Hence, you need a considerable amount of Candy Crush Saga strategy to advance to the next level. Don’t let the narrowing board intimidate you, though. Here are the tips I used to beat the level.

- Objective: Bring down the ingredients and score at least 40,000 points.
- Moves: 50
- Stars: 1 star = 40,000 points; 2 stars = 100,000 points; 3 stars = 160,000 points
Tip #1:
First of all, you must remove all the meringues blocking the three passageways where you can drop the ingredients. This is the easiest part, since all you have to do is to make matches adjacent to the meringues and lo and behold, your path is already clear. You need to do this early on so that this will no longer be a problem later on in the game. Removing the meringues only takes a couple of moves, so this would be a no-brainer for you.

Once you have removed the obstacles, the next thing that you need to do is to bring the ingredients to the middle three columns, since these are the columns where you can drop the ingredients.
Some of the cherries and hazelnuts might appear at the outer columns, so make sure that you slide them towards the center first to avoid getting stuck when you start bringing them down. Once they get stuck, it will be very hard to remove them from the corners, even if you use candy combos. Keep in mind to avoid these dead ends.

Tip #3:
Vertical striped candies will be very effective in this game, especially if you have already placed the ingredients in the middle. You should activate these striped candies on the middle columns where the ingredients are located, so that one move will automatically bring down the ingredient. However, avoid using vertical candies in the peripheral columns especially if the ingredients are there, since this will only cause the cherries and hazelnuts to get stuck on the corners.
