The board in level 82 of Candy Crush Saga looked difficult to me at first, with licorice swirls occupying the whole lower half. However, you have to remember that these licorice swirls are actually movable blocks, and that clearing them using adjacent matches will not pose too huge of a problem.
You simply have to know the right strategies in order to beat this level, so here are some tips that I came up with after playing the round a few times. Ultimately, those licorice swirls aren’t so bad, and if you’re anything like me and you’ve read my guide for Candy Crush, you might even learn to enjoy levels with those candy blockers in your way.

- Objective: Bring down the ingredients and score at least 75,000 points.
- Moves: 35
- Stars: 1 star = 75,000 points; 2 stars = 100,000 points; 3 stars = 125,000 points
Tip #1:
For most levels of Candy Crush Saga, you have to work low to make sure that you bring the ingredients down. However, in this level, where licorice swirls are dominating the bottom half of the board, you have to start your moves on the top of the board.
This will make the licorice swirls fall into the portals and transfer to the top of the board. You should also concentrate your moves on the middle columns, since those are where the ingredients are located. Do not move your ingredients to the sides as it will be harder for you to get them to the bottom, given the layout of the board.

Tip #2:
Candy combos are not very needed in this round, since licorice swirls are impenetrable to most special candies and combos. Do not waste your moves trying to create candy combos. However, if there is one special candy that can be beneficial in this round, those would have to be the vertical striped candies. They can help you drop your ingredients to the bottom in a faster manner.

Tip #3:
Be patient in clearing one candy below the ingredient at a time. Even though combos will not be of big help, this level will actually be easy because of the portals located at the bottom of the board. Your candies will keep on rotating and creating more matches. Just make sure that you focus on making matches on the candies that are below the ingredients, and everything will fall into place.
