Level 97 in the addictive Candy Crush Saga has left many frustrated, myself included. The goal of level 97 is to reach 100,000 points in only 25 moves while avoiding the bombs at all costs. Once they detonate, you fail the level.
Since you only have 8 moves to clear each bomb, the level is extremely challenging for most who attempt. Many times I sat beside myself with frustration, wondering how on Earth I would ever work on getting past this difficult level. Luckily, there are a few key hints and tips that have proven to work on beating level 97:

- Objective: Score a total of at least 100,000 points.
- Moves: 25
- Stars: 1 star = 100,000, 2 stars = 115,000, 3 stars = 120,000
Tip #1
Make the bombs your first priority. Since they go off in 8 moves, you need to act fast to clear these. When a bomb is eliminated you will get 3030 points each, 6060 points if you eliminate two in a single move. One of the best ways to get rid of the bombs is through special candy combos, and especially with the use of a color bomb.

Like I mentioned, make use of special candies whenever you can. This will improve the quality of playing on this level greatly. On level 97, the most helpful candies that can be used are the striped, the wrapped, and the color bombs. Striped and wrapped combos are preferred, as these will rack up a massive amount of points. When a bomb is destroyed with special candy combos it will cause a higher payout in points, making it easier to gain your points quicker.

Tip #3
It’s absolutely imperative that you not waste any moves. Making too many simple 3 color candy matches will be a death nail in your quest to try to beat this level. In order to reach the point goal, you need to focus on trying to make special candy combos above all else, while keeping an eye on your bomb timers.
Although level 97 is extremely frustrating and by no means easy, it is thoroughly rewarding once you see the “level completed” notice! With a little luck, skill, and some suggested hints, the dreaded level 97 should be cleared in next to no time.
