If you are a player of the popular game Candy Crush, chances are that level 98 has gotten you stuck more than once. I remember playing this level, annoyed at my computer that the level wasn’t working with me to reach the required points with any strategies I tried.
Since this is another tricky bomb level, the challenge presented in the game worsens. Bombs drop in every 2 moves, quickly ending everything if not taken care of quick enough. Despite the challenge presented, there are ways to beat the level. A few suggested strategies finally worked for me, reminding me that all hope was not lost in the game.

Get rid of bombs as soon as you can. When the bombs begin to drop after every 2 moves, eliminate them as quick as possible. If you don’t act fast, the bombs will without a doubt end things before they even begin.

Next, focus on opening up the board so more combos can be played. Level 98 includes licorice X’s covering trapped candies, so free these to score more points by making special candy combos. Ideally, try to clear licorice and make special candies at the same time if possible, to save on moves. Also, after the licorice over has been removed, try to make special candies that will demolish the falling bombs. You will receive a higher payout in points this way, quickly boosting your score!

After all the bombs and licorice have been taken care of, make special candies, especially striped, wrapped, and color bombs. These will all help reach the target score quickly. Keep in mind that you should match as many special candies with other special candies to also receive a massive amount of points.
If level 98 is proving to be extremely difficult for you, using my tips above should help you conquer the candies. While completing this level was a challenge, it was well worth the agony to advance to level 102.
