The board in level 21 of Candy Crush Soda Saga might be more difficult than other levels with a similar goal because of the presence of cupcake obstacles and licorice cages. In addition, all the soda bottles that you need are locked in the cages, and you have to release them first before you get to use them. This can get especially complicated because the blockers in the middle might impede the flow of candies.

Because of the blockers situated in the middle of the board, it might be hard to create special candies in the beginning. But then, it’s not that hard to get to the coloring candy at the center of the board, since there are candies beside it.
You can take advantage of the coloring candy by matching it with the most numerous candies on the board. This way, you might be able to create viable matches and pop a soda bottle or two.

Tip #2
Since you might find it hard to create special candies because of the obstacles, make sure that you grab every opportunity to create one. It is also a lot better to combine those special candies in order to clear up the board faster.
If you don’t have special candies, however, try to make moves near the blockers in order to remove them from the board and open up more spaces for potential matches.

Remember that your goal in this level is to match the soda levels in order to fill up the board with soda, so always focus your energies into doing just that. It would be nice to get rid of the obstacles to get special candies and complete your game as soon as possible, but it’s not entirely needed. At the end of the day, you can win the level once you match all soda bottles, even if you have obstacles remaining on the board.
