I’d like to refer to level 8 of Candy Crush Soda Saga as the ridiculous obstacle round, basically because of the presence of many two-layer cupcake and frosting obstacles in this round. You start off with a rectangular patch of candies, and from there you need to get rid of the rest of the cupcakes and frosting in order to find all 20 bears in just 26 moves.
At first, this might seem like a daunting task, given the sheer number of obstacles on the level. But remember, matching candies adjacent to the cupcakes can help get rid of them, so this level can’t be that bad.

Tip #1
During levels like these, you can rely on special candy combos to do the job for you. With only 26 moves to spare, you have to think of ways to hit not just two candies, but hoards of candies, in just one move. The best way to do that is to create special candies and combine them with each other.
I think that the best combo to use in this level is the striped candy plus wrapped candy combo. Just like in the original Candy Crush game, this creates a huge candy that hits all the candies that lie horizontally and vertically in its path. If you can’t find this combo, any other combo will certainly be helpful in this level.

Tip #2
Normally, you need to look for the bears so that you don’t end up wasting your moves on frostings that don’t have bears behind them. But this isn’t your priority in this level, as you need to get rid of the obstacles first before you even get a chance to spot the bears.
Instead of painstakingly looking for the bears, just do what you can to destroy the cupcakes and the frostings on the board. Focus on the bears once you have removed most of the obstacles.

Tip #3
Since you only have 26 moves in this level, you need to make sure that every move contributes to your level objective. Every move should be spent creating special candies and combos or getting rid of as much cupcake and frosting as possible. If you don’t focus on making substantial moves, you’ll soon find yourself repeating this level over and over again.
You’ve surely had your dose of obstacles in this level, but you’ll get used to them & better at beating them (especially if, like me, you’re a veteran of the original Candy Crush). You’ll take a breather from these particular challenges in Candy Crush Soda Saga level 10.
