Level 173 of Farm Heroes Saga is all about defeating Rancid the Raccoon once again. But unlike previous Rancid levels, this one’s not that difficult, although it doesn’t mean that its easy either.
You can beat Rancid by making water droplet, carrot, apple, and strawberry matches. In fact, these are all the cropsies that you will see on the board, which is a good thing, since there are no cropsies that you need to avoid. But this board also has a high amount of grumpy cropsies, so you need to be very strategic with your moves. Here are the ways in which you can beat Rancid the Raccoon in this level.

Tip #1
In order to defeat Rancid in just 30 moves, you need to take advantage of the multipliers at your disposal. That means that aside from increasing the value of your cropsies, you need to grow your own grass.
You can do that by combining water droplets with seeds, as three seeds are given to you at the start of the level. You have to find a way to get the seeds near the frozen droplets, and then use a shovel booster in order to unfreeze the droplet and combine it with the seed. After that, you can grow the grass by combining water droplets with any crop on the grass.

Tip #2
After you have substantially grown the grass, make sure that you continue working on that area so as to double your points. If you can’t find any match on it, you can work at the bottom of the board so that you can take advantage of cascades. This will also help move the cropsies on the board, thus making more possible matches show up.
It will also be better if you have significantly reduced the number of grumpy cropsies on the board before relying on cascades. Grumpy cropsies can be transformed to normal cropsies by getting them on the grass.

Tip #3
Even though level 173 is not as hard as other Rancid levels, you still have to be very patient in dealing with this level. It is possible that you might repeat it several times, so if you think you need some help, you can buy Magic Beans at the start of the level. A +1 Magic Bean bonus will do.
Once you get past Rancid, you’ll be able to resume your regular games in Farm Heroes level 174. Just like this level, it contains purple areas where crops become grumpy.
