gamer-on-phone-200x300-5410514Welcome to ReadyGamer. We’ve set out to put together the best one-stop-shop resource for game walk-throughs, level guides, and much more for all of the most popular mobile & social games available today. One of our favorite games right now is Candy Crush Saga, a super-addictive game developed by King and inspired by the timeless matching-game classic, Bejeweled. You can check out our Candy Crush level guides to help you get past any given level you’re currently having trouble with.

Another one of our current favorites is Pet Rescue Saga, which is another extremely popular King title. The core concept of this game is similar to Candy Crush in that you’re essentially matching objects to achieve a certain goal or goal(s). However, a cute little twist is added in that you need to rescue dogs and cats before you can successfully complete a level. Who can resist that? If you’re a Pet Rescuing fool like us, you’ll want to give our page of tips a look for how to beat various levels in the game.

Did you think that was the last of the King games we can’t put down? Here’s another: Papa Pear Saga. This is a newer game that you still may not have heard of, but is positively worth downloading when you have some free time away from crushing those candies. If you’ve played Peggle before, you’ll have a huge advantage in understanding the game mechanics early on. Give our Papa Pear page a look if you’re stuck on a particular level, or if you’d like to pick up one of our helpful hints for playing the game in general.

mobilegaming-300x200-7569966Over time, we plan on covering a multitude of popular mobile and social games, with the #1 goal of making ReadyGamer the best answer online to the question: “Hey, I need to beat this level in this game. Who can help me?” Failing that, we could always just resort to sharing pictures of adorable toddlers playing on their Android phones (see: right).

For now, here’s a list of our top favorite games we’re playing right now – as well as a little back-story behind each one. 1. Candy Crush

If you have a Facebook account, then it’s impossible for you not to have heard of Candy Crush Saga. With more than 500 million Facebook likes, Candy Crush Saga has easily become the most popular Facebook game of all time. In fact, it has surpassed Farmville as the most popular game on Facebook last March 2013, with its average of 46 million users per month.

  • The game was released last April 12, 2012 in Facebook by King, a large game developing company. By November of that year, Candy Crush Saga had also become available for smartphones and other similar devices. A year later, the game had already more than 6 million active users and is earning more than $600,000 in revenue per day. Surely, a lot of people have become addicted to Candy Crush Saga.

Perhaps one of the reasons for Candy Crush Saga’s success is the familiarity of most users to the rules of the game. It is simply a variation of match-three puzzle games, and is certainly not the first of its kind in the history of casual gaming. Other famous games that are similar to the rules of Candy Crush Saga include Bejeweled and SameGame.

However, what made Candy Crush Saga stand out was the presence of numerous obstacles and challenges that you need to conquer before you can advance to the next level. The levels of this game become increasingly challenging, and this can either motivate a player to go on or leave him frustrated for days on end.

Another reason why Candy Crush Saga is so popular is because of the beautiful interface of the game. There are so many candy colors and patterns that you can do, as every level has a different layout. You can also create powerful boosters through different candy combinations, and these boosters add excitement to the game.

Want to try Candy Crush Saga? You can download it for free via the Android or Apple Store. You may also use your Facebook account to play the game on your computer.

2. Candy Crush Soda Saga

From the makers of the wildly popular Candy Crush Saga comes another addicting game that will surely occupy your every gaming moment: Candy Crush Soda Saga. Since its beta release in August 2014, it had more than 16,000 raving reviews in the App Store — a testament to how widely received this game is.

Candy Crush Soda Saga is very similar to the well-loved Candy Crush Saga, only better (in my/ReadyGamer’s opinion) and more challenging, with the presence of new elements and boosters like candy bears and coloring candies.

The premise remains the same: You have to complete the goals in every level in order to move on to the next. Candy Crush Soda Saga has different level types, which include the following:

  • Your main objective in these levels is to get the soda levels up on the board. Sometimes, you need to fill up the whole board with soda, while at other times, you just need to collect a certain number of soda bottles to complete the level.

  • You need to break the ice in these levels in order to find the bears hidden behind them. You do not necessarily need to remove all the ice; you just have to free the required number of bears and move on to the next level.

  • The objective in these levels is to get the bear inside the bubble to cross the candy string located high up on the board. Sometimes, these levels are a combination of bubble and soda levels.

  • You have certainly encountered chocolates in the original Candy Crush Saga, and they work the same way in this game. However, in Chocolate Levels, the chocolates do not just serve as obstacles as your main goal involves removing all of them from the board.

  • The board is full of honey blockers in these levels, and your job is to get rid of them in order to free the bears inside them.

If you loved playing Candy Crush Saga, it would really be easy for you to get into this game. The special candies are the same—wrapped candies, striped candies, color bombs — but the fish boosters play a larger role in the game’s structure. You can actually make your own fish boosters by matching four similar candies in a small square.

There is also the new coloring candy, which you can get by combining eight candies in one move. It changes each candy of one color into the color of the coloring candy. As always, combining these special candies can give you amazing results.

Try this new game from King.com and see for yourself why it is the latest craze in the gaming apps world. You can play Soda Saga on any Android or iOS devices, and of course – on Facebook.

3. Pet Rescue Saga

From the developers of the wildly successful Candy Crush Saga comes another endearing game that will surely leave you addicted for hours on end. Pet Rescue Saga is a puzzle game that is pretty similar to Candy Crush Saga, in that you have to match two or more blocks of the same color in order to win the level. In addition to that, you have to save the lovable pets that are stuck on top of the blocks and bring them safely to the ground.

If you want an equally challenging game like Candy Crush Saga, you should download and play Pet Rescue Saga. It is available on the Apple Store and Android App Store, as well as in Facebook.

4. Papa Pear Saga

Are you sensing a theme yet? We can’t get enough of the games out of King – and this one is no exception. Papa Pear Saga is a pachinko-style arcade game wherein you fire pears or balls towards pegs in order to eliminate them. If you have played Peggle before, then this game is basically the same, except that it is more challenging because of the objectives and challenges in every level. Moreover, there are many power ups that you can use in order to achieve higher scores and fulfill your goals.

Still haven’t started playing Papa Pear yet? You should probably fix that. The game is available on Google Play for Android devices, the Apple Store for iOS users, and Facebook for social gamers.

5. Farm Heroes Saga

farmheroes-7589442

At first, it is easy to dismiss Farm Heroes Saga as just another match-three game. Why would you even want to play this if you’re already stuck in Candy Crush Saga? But as you progress through each level of Farm Heroes Saga, you will notice that it has the same combination of addictive gameplay and winning graphics much like its sister games. And just like that, you’re completely won over by this new King.com game that promises hours of fun and requires loads of patience.

If you still have not tried playing this game, then you are already missing out on all of the fun. Take a breather from your Candy Crush game and exercise anew your strategic skills in Farm Heroes Saga. You can download it on your iPhone or Android phone. You may also just login to your Facebook account and start playing the game.

6. Bubble Witch Saga 2

bubble-witch-saga-2-2675544

Of all the award-winning games that King has created, it is only Bubble Witch Saga that got a sequel. Bubble Witch Saga 2 is mostly the same as its predecessor, except that it’s a lot cuter and more fun.

All you have to do is to clear racks of bubbles by firing same-colored bubbles on them. When you match three or more bubbles of the same kind, those bubbles fall down into the buckets waiting on the bottom of the board, with each bucket having a corresponding score. It’s like a little bit of Papa Pear Saga, but you have more control over the outcome of the game.

  • Goals
  • Special Bubbles
  • Booster Option
  • Just like other King games, you get up to five lives in a game. You lose a life every time you lose a level, although your lives regenerate in 30 minutes. Each level of Bubble Witch Saga 2 has a goal, which generally falls under three categories: Clear the Top, Free the Ghost, and Save the Animals.

Every goal requires various strategies in order to win the level. For instance, you need to get to the top of the board during Clear the Top levels, but that’s not necessary in Save the Animals levels. The bubbles in Free the Ghost levels move according to your shots, but this does not happen with other levels as the bubbles are always stationary.

  • You will also encounter different kinds of special bubbles in Bubble Witch Saga 2. There are Line Blast Bubbles that help destroy a line of bubbles once you hit them. These are perfect for Save the Animals levels. There are also Cloudy Bubbles, whose colors remain unknown until you hit them. Black Hole Bubbles absorb three bubbles before disappearing, and this can be very annoying especially if you already have a game plan. Finally, there are Solid Bubbles that are annoying and hard to get rid of.
  • You also get a chance to try some Booster Bubbles to make your game a lot easier. However, you also need to remember that they come with a price once you exhaust the initial free boosters given to you.

If you are interested in playing this game, then what are you waiting for? We were hooked by the original game, and the sequel has us even more engaged. You can play Bubble Witch Saga 2 on any Android or iOS devices, as well as on Facebook.
